As soon as I entered the venue and saw the crowd, I knew I was going to be let down. I was so looking forward to seeing River City Rodeo, however. I felt I was standing between Hot Topic and Old Navy full of jocks and wannabe alt rock kids. Ironically, I could hear "oh my god, like for sure" all around me but the beer line was impossibly busy. The band played and sounded ok, just like their studio cd's actually. I really didn't even need to see them live. Would it hurt them to jam a tune for a bit, maybe an extra count of 8? I mean, I appreciated the lack of conversation between songs, but felt the whole show lacked enthusiasm, originality, and creativity. Another top 40 band that will soon fade into the horizon with countless others. I won't waste another $40 to see them. If only they would've expanded on their performance...
